Quick Facts: Location: 1201 South Grand Boulevard, St. Louis, MO Start Date: 09/09/2026 Duration: Through 12/09/2026 Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours/Week: 36 hours Employment Type: Contract License/Certs: Missouri license required, BLS certification mandatory Experience: Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience Pay & Benefits: Hourly Rate: $144.05 Pay Package: Competitive pay discussed upon application Benefits: Weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), paid sick time, licensure/travel reimbursements when applicable, robust referral bonus program, 24/7 dedicated support team What You’ll Do: Assist in adult cardiothoracic surgeries, including CABG, valve repairs, aortic surgeries, and emergent dissections Support surgical procedures such as sternotomies, endoscopic vein harvesting, and implantations of mechanical circulatory support Collaborate with a team of cardiac surgeons and intensivists in a busy academic hospital environment Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care Maintain sterile techniques and ensure adherence to safety protocols throughout surgical procedures Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management What You Need: Active Missouri license; BLS certification (required) Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience Board certification in specialty (preferred) Strong skills in adult cardiac surgery procedures and team collaboration About the Assignment: Join a dynamic team supporting adult cardiac surgery at a prominent academic hospital in St. Louis. You'll play a key role in supporting high-volume cardiac procedures, working closely with cardiac surgeons and ICU staff in a state-of-the-art facility.
