Details 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry capabilities Patient ratios of 1:5-7 Night shift schedule (4x12 or 3x12), 19:00-07:30, including weekdays and weekends (3 shifts per 4-week period) 13-week contract with possible extension Uses Cerner EMR system Requirements Active WV or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted for consideration) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS BLS, ACLS, and PALS (if required) must be through the American Heart Association (AHA) Minimum 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required Skills needed may include respiratory management (BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, HFNC, ABG interpretation, tracheostomy care), IV therapy, central and PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and dysrhythmia interpretation Additional Information Care for medical/surgical patients with telemetry monitoring needs, including pre/post cardiac cath and renal failure management Facility has expressed limited tolerance for call-offs (2-3 per contract) due to attendance concerns Orientation held every other Monday Non-billable EMR training modules required prior to start, averaging 8 hours to complete Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate; those within 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at the same rate Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of employment before returning as a traveler Current employees of the associated health system (including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for this travel contract Previous license probationary actions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-734800.
