Details 34-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring Patient ratios of 1:5-7 Night shift, 4x12 or 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30), including weekdays and weekends (3 per 4-week schedule) Uses Cerner EMR 13-week contract with possible extension No scrubs provided Requirements Active WV or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (BLS and ACLS must be through AHA) Cerner EMR experience Skills in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, HFNC, and ABG interpretation preferred Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line care Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation experience Pre/post cardiac cath and pre/post hemodialysis management experience preferred Wound care/wound vac experience Minimum of 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required Additional Information Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, respiratory support, and wound care Facility maintains a strict attendance policy, tolerating only 2-3 call-offs per contract Candidates must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at the same rate Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of permanent employment before returning as a traveler Current employees (perm, PRN, etc.) of the associated health system are not eligible for travel contracts within that system Non-billable EMR training modules required prior to start date, averaging 8 hours to complete Orientation held every other Monday First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-739524.
