Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 1 year of nursing experience Candidates with only 1 year of experience will require manager review Floating to different units may be required Experience in telemetry and step-down units Charting system experience with Epic preferred Description: The role involves working in a mixed acuity step down unit. Candidates will care for patients undergoing various transplant procedures, including kidney and liver transplants. Responsibilities include managing primary care and monitoring patients for signs of rejection and complications. Nurses will assess and interpret dysrhythmias, manage IV therapies, and provide non-invasive airway management. The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and social services. Special procedures include kidney biopsy recovery and paracentesis. Applicants must have effective communication skills and be able to work collaboratively in a team setting. Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays are part of the schedule. Compliance with required credentialing and procedural protocols is essential. Two professional references are required, with at least one reference from a manager or supervisor.
