Remote Case Manager (End to End Litigation Paralegal)

Position Description

The Huron Law Group Case Manager serves as the primary owner of assigned lawsuits in a high-volume debt litigation environment. This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of the case, ensuring all actions are executed accurately, timely, and in alignment with company standards and overall case strategy.

The Case Manager partners with Filing, Hearing, and Resolution Offer Coordinators who function as execution specialists supporting specific components of the litigation process. While those roles handle specialized tasks, the Case Manager serves as the central coordination point - ensuring filings are accurate and timely, hearings are properly calendared and supported, settlement opportunities are documented and advanced, and jurisdictional requirements are met from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Case Ownership & Lifecycle Management

· Own assigned litigation matters from intake through final resolution, ensuring all actions align with jurisdictional requirements and company standards.

· Monitor deadlines, pleadings, and court events to ensure timely execution across the full case lifecycle.

· Draft and review key litigation documents post answer filing.

Coordination & Cross-Functional Oversight

· Partner with Filing, Hearing, and Resolution Offer Coordinators to ensure execution of case-related tasks is accurate and completed on time.

· Create and manage legal events within the case management system to track hearings, deadlines, filings, attorney changes, and required follow-up actions.

· Review work product from support coordinators to ensure compliance, accuracy, and alignment with case strategy.

Risk Management, Compliance & Procedural Oversight

· Identify procedural risks, default exposure, and jurisdictional compliance issues and proactively address gaps.

· Conduct structured docket reviews of assigned cases to identify new filings, court activity, deadline changes, and required actions.

 

· Manage attorney-of-record updates, including filing appearances, motions to continue, motions to withdraw, substitutions of counsel, and motions to vacate as needed.

· Ensure all required procedural filings and court obligations are completed accurately and timely to maintain proper case posture and mitigate litigation risk.

Documentation & Performance Tracking

· Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all case activity within the case management system/CRM.

· Track settlement activity, hearing outcomes, procedural updates, and ensure records reflect current case status.

· Identify process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall litigation outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Paralegal certification required.

·5 years experience in a Paralegal or Legal Case Manager role.

· Demonstrated length of tenure and value creation during that tenure (results, promotions, expanded scope).

· Experience filing legal documents in state courts, including e-filing platforms.

· Working knowledge of Answer deadlines and jurisdictional filing requirements.

· Experience managing deadlines across multiple cases simultaneously.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) with strong document formatting capabilities.

· Experience working within CRM or case management systems.

· Ability to independently prioritize workload and meet strict filing deadlines.

· Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, professional legal documents.

· Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy.

· Ability to interpret written procedures and apply them consistently across varying case scenarios.

· Experience communicating professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

· Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or related legal field.

· Experience in consumer litigation or familiarity with FDCPA guidelines.

· Prior experience in high-volume litigation environments

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour, approximately $41,600 per year based on a 40-hour workweek. Anticipated start date: October 5, 2026

· Fully remote position: employees are expected to work from their designated work location
