Job Description
Job Description
Make an impact in students’ lives by providing essential psychological services across a diverse range of grade levels in a supportive district-based role. This contract opportunity places you in a central district office, allowing you to focus on in-depth assessments and key processes without the demands of daily building-based duties.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Holds, or is eligible for, an Illinois PEL with a School Psychologist endorsement (applications with pending status considered for travel professionals)
- Demonstrated experience with comprehensive evaluations for Pre-K through 8th-grade students
- Familiarity with Early Intervention transitions, including TPBA procedures, highly valued
- Able to efficiently lead meetings, manage assessment caseloads, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Well-organized and effective communicator, able to navigate district-wide responsibilities with professionalism
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and complete psychological evaluations (district averaged 63 evaluations last year)
- Facilitate and actively participate in domain meetings
- Collaborate on Early Intervention transitions, overseeing the process and conducting TPBA assessments as needed (approximately 17 annually)
- Attend MTSS referral meetings to review individual student needs when appropriate
- Focus exclusively on evaluation and transition processes—daily student or staff crisis support is not a routine expectation
- Maintain timely documentation and clear communication with district staff and families
What You Can Expect:
- Structure and clarity in your schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM–3:30 PM
- Centralized, office-based work with exposure to a variety of schools and student needs throughout the district
- Immediate start available, with a contract through June 2027
- Opportunity to work alongside collaborative, experienced professionals in a dynamic educational environment
If you’re an organized, evaluation-driven School Psychologist ready to make an impact at the district level, apply today to explore this rewarding opportunity!
Compensation for this position ranges from $39.92 to $69.92. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
