Civil Litigation Paralegal

Job Description

A well-established, fast-paced law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy defense practice. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team of attorneys on complex matters from inception through trial.

Responsibilities:

Draft, format, and file pleadings, motions, and discovery in state and federal courts
Manage case files from intake through resolution, including maintaining deadlines and calendars
Coordinate and prepare discovery responses, including document production and organization
Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness files, and trial binders
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed
Summarize medical records, depositions, and case documents
E-file documents and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures

Requirements:

3+ years of litigation paralegal experience (defense preferred)
Strong knowledge of court procedures, filing requirements, and deadlines
Experience with e-filing in both state and federal courts
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal software (e.g., case management/billing systems) a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
