We are looking to hire a Part-Time Career Services Advisor for our Mount Pleasant location! This position requires an associate’s degree or two years of study from a college/university, and one year of employment in a related field such as recruiting, supervisory, or training.Our Career Services Advisor works with community members who would like assistance with career planning and certification training. Advisors help community members in job search activities, building computer skills, and other skill development opportunities! This position provides skill assessments for each job seeker to assist them in locating resources and tools for their desired goals, as well as maintaining and using that knowledge. Career Services Advisors assist job seekers in securing employment in the community by aiding with basic job search activities, resume writing, skill workshops, interview skills, and other employment activities. An additional year of employment in a related field may be substituted.Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance requiredSuccessful completion of a motor vehicle, child/elder dependent abuse background check, and sex offender registry check requiredDemonstrable literacy in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams/Zoom, and other computer skills requiredThe Career Services Advisor position has a starting wage of $18.82 per hour.
