Assistant Restaurant Manager

Duties

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, and staff management
• Supervise daily shift activities to ensure smooth workflow, timely service, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards
• Train and develop team members on food handling, POS systems (such as Toast), customer service protocols, and food safety procedures
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and reconciliation at shift end
• Support kitchen management tasks such as food production oversight, ensuring consistency in culinary quality and presentation
• Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally

Requirements

• Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant management roles within quick service or fast food environments
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking
• Hands-on experience with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management in a hospitality setting
• Demonstrated supervising experience with team training & development responsibilities
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team environment
• Background in food industry operations
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
• Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high standards of food quality and service
• Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and culinary practices within casual dining
