Accounting Clerk

Job Title: Accounting Clerk Location: Caguas, Puerto Rico Job Type: Full Time Temporary Compensation: $13–$16 hourly (depending on experience, skills, and qualifications) Responsibilities Support accounting functions with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) billing. Assist with general ledger entries, account reconciliations, cash reports, and month‑end closing. Cross‑train and provide backup support for Inventory Control Specialist and Accounts Receivable. Answer phones and redirect calls as appropriate. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with accounting procedures. Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies. Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial information. Perform additional duties or projects as requested. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor of Science in Accounting. 3+ years of relevant experience. Excellent organizational skills and self‑motivation. Strong attention to detail and a customer‑focused approach. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well with others in a fast‑paced, interrupted environment. Strong analytical and math skills with a high level of accuracy. Experience in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP). Ability to work required shift hours. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Preferred Qualifications Viewpoint Vista experience. Experience in construction or disaster recovery work. Physical Requirements and Environment Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer‑based tasks. Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Commitment to following safety standards and protocols. What to Expect The role provides daily support to the Accounting Department in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. Daily tasks include processing A/P and A/R transactions, preparing reconciliations, supporting month‑end close, and assisting with cash reporting.
