Contracts Administrator

Position Overview As a Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, review, and administration of contractual proposals relating to construction projects. Primary Responsibilities Reviews, comments, logs and tracks a variety of contract and legal documents. Negotiates terms as necessary to help mitigate risk. Tracks subcontracts for status. Processes purchase orders and change orders. Maintains electronic and hard copy filing systems. Drafts and administrates subcontracts to listed subcontractors post‑award on Prime Contracts. Orders and issues Certificates of Insurance. Orders and tracks surety bonds. Recognizes unique requirements, characteristics, and issues based on project/owner specifications. Maintains contract information in accordance with organizational policy and procedures. Ensures that organizations follow compliance with legal requirements and owner specifications. Works closely with operations as well as senior management, in both the business unit and at the corporate level to minimize corporate risk. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Displays a high level of organization and prioritization for tasks at hand. Has knowledge of legal requirements with contracts. Demonstrates flexibility to effectively deal with changing priorities and timelines through analytical problem solving. Proven time management and follow‑through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines. Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team‑oriented environment. Displays superior written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills. Maintains a tactful, mature and professional demeanor with well‑developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse personnel. Education and/or Experience Minimum 5-7 years’ contact experience in the construction industry. Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent work experience. Experience in a high‑volume environment. Experience with Microsoft software such as Word and Excel.
