Compensation: $95,000–$110,000

Overview

An established food processing company in the southern region of Chicago is in need of a skilled sanitation supervisor for managing sanitation operations during the third shift.

This position requires a hands-on approach. The supervisor must be actively involved on the production floor, embodying the collaborative and participative culture of the team.

What the Role Entails

• Manage and supervise the sanitation team on the night shift within a large food processing facility
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety, and regulatory standards
• Promote accountability and consistency by actively engaging with the team on the production floor
• Coordinate cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and equipment protocols
• Collaborate with production and quality departments to maintain sanitation standards while maximizing efficiency
• Train, mentor, and develop team members on safety procedures and standards
• Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities and compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 7 years in sanitation leadership; high school diploma or GED is mandatory
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is essential
• Prior experience in sanitizing processes within a food manufacturing environment is a must
• Strong managerial skills with a hands-on approach to floor operations
• Willingness to work consistently on the night shift
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead with clarity and accountability
