Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to create a work-life balance that suits your personal and professional needs. While you will primarily engage with clients through telehealth services, you will also have the opportunity to conduct in-person sessions at our outpatient office in Amityville, New York, as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to accurately identify clients' mental health concerns, establish clinical diagnoses, and formulate effective treatment plans.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities, ensuring interventions are specifically tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and objectives.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to clients experiencing acute mental health crises or emergencies, employing skills that de-escalate situations safely.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions, documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment outcomes in compliance with ethical and legal requirements.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care that addresses the multifaceted needs of clients.

• Empower clients and their families through education on mental health topics, treatment alternatives, and resources available in the community, while advocating for their rights and needs.

• Engage in continuous professional development, participating in workshops and training sessions to remain current with advancements in mental health therapy practices.

Qualifications\n

• A valid mental health counselor license (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R) is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n
