Event Staff

POSITION: Event Staff DEPARTMENT: Events REPORTS TO: Director of Operations FLSA STATUS: Non – Exempt – Hourly Part Time Summary ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for an Event Staff member at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Event Staff will work under the direction of the Director of Operations to support event operations in accordance with ASM policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as ticket taker and/or usher, distributing programs and escorting patrons to their appropriate seats. Assist with last‑minute pre‑event needs such as setting up, decorating, and locating materials. Provide special accommodations for wheelchairs, other physically handicapped patrons, senior citizens, students, and groups. Act as a parking attendant, directing traffic and ensuring security of the parking lot. During day‑to‑day operations, provide information to and assist visitors and patrons. Work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Working Conditions Ability to work long, irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and maintain a flexible schedule. Skills and Abilities Strong verbal and interpersonal skills. Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others. Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. Maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered during employment. Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
