Onsite Speech-Language Pathologists (Up to 2 Openings)

Locations: Flint, MI

Schedule: 35 hours/week

Assignment Dates: August 17, 2026 - June 11, 2027 Positions: K-12 (caseloads may vary) SLPs preferred; CFYs considered

Position Overview

We are seeking up to two onsite Speech-Language Pathologists to support K-12 students across multiple Michigan regions. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite and collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams. CFYs may be accepted; however, Flint strongly prefers candidates with an established supervisor .

Applicants may be asked to discuss the challenges faced by urban students and identify appropriate resources for families , as part of Flint's prequalification process.

Licensure & Credential Requirements

Active Michigan SLP license preferred
NSY candidates will be considered if licensure has been applied for
- Must provide proof of completed application and pending status
Official university transcripts required prior to district submission
Onsite availability required

Key Responsibilities

Direct Therapy Services - Provide individual and group speech-language therapy tailored to student needs.
Collaborative Support - Partner with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate communication strategies into daily instruction.
IEP & MET Participation - Develop annual goals, short-term objectives, and contribute meaningfully to IEP/MET meetings.
Documentation Compliance - Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation aligned with district, state, and federal guidelines.
Team-Based Referrals - Collaborate with instructional and ancillary staff to identify students needing additional services.
Staff Training - Provide professional development on language development strategies and best practices.
Evaluations & Reporting - Conduct assessments and prepare written reports for students suspected of speech, language, voice, or oral-motor impairments.
AAC Support - Train and support students using AAC systems, ensuring proper use at school and home.
Equipment Management - Maintain therapy materials, equipment, and supplies.
MultiBuilding Travel - Travel between assigned school buildings as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
