Fluidra’s looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA (near the airport).

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE  

The Accounting Manager is a key member of the Finance organization responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company's accounting and financial reporting activities. Reporting to the Controller, this position serves as a senior-level individual contributor and works closely with the Spain Shared Service Center (SSC), Finance leadership, and cross-functional business partners. This role provides accounting leadership and oversight while remaining hands-on in complex accounting activities, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, internal controls, audit support, and process improvement. The Accounting Manager will serve as an important liaison between the local organization and the Spain SSC, helping ensure accounting activities performed by the shared service organization are completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies and GAAP/IFRS standards. Additionally, you will: 

Accounting & Month-End Close

• Own and coordinate assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring financial results are complete, accurate, and delivered according to established deadlines.
• Review balance sheet and income statement accounts to identify unusual transactions, trends, risks, and variances requiring investigation or correction.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and support financial information.
• Partner with the Controller on financial statement analysis, management reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Coordinate accounting activities performed by the SSC and ensure deliverables meet established quality, accuracy, and close-calendar requirements.
• Prepare, review and validate SSC-prepared reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, other close related activities and other accounting deliverables as appropriate.
• Partner with SSC team to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, aged reconciling items, transaction issues, and process gaps.
• Maintain clear roles, responsibilities, timelines, and escalation processes between local Finance and the SSC.
• Provide accounting guidance and business context to SSC partners to support accurate transaction processing and financial reporting.
• Build strong working relationships across geographic and functional areas and promote consistent accounting practices between local and shared-service teams.
• Ensure accounting transactions and financial reporting comply with IFRS, company accounting policies, and applicable reporting requirements.
• Maintain and strengthen accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls while ensuring consistent application of accounting policies across local and shared-service operations.
• Respond to internal and external auditor inquiries, coordinate information requests involving the Spain SSC or other Finance teams and ensure audit requests are completed accurately and within required timelines.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and strengthen accounting processes.
• Oversee the intercompany reconciliation process across multiple legal entities, including researching mismatches, coordinating corrections with counterparties and SSC teams, and ensuring a timely resolution before period close and consolidation.
• Partner with the Spain SSC and other Finance stakeholders to improve close efficiency, reconciliation quality, and transaction processing.
• Partner with Consolidations HQ, Finance, operations, procurement, account payables/receivables, tax, treasury, and other business functions to resolve accounting and reporting matters.

WHAT WE SEEK

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant general accounting responsibilities with a medium-to-large sized organization in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS principles.
• Demonstrated experience with month end close, journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
• Experience working in a multinational or global organization including intercompany, multi-entity, and/or multi-currency accounting.
• Strong Excel skills (formulars and advance pivot tables) and the ability to work effectively with large amounts of financial data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding financial reporting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority.

Preferred:

• Public accounting and/or audit experience.
• Experience partnering with an offshore or international Shared Service Center.
• Demonstrated experience improving and automating accounting processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems and reporting applications (Oracle, FCCS) a plus.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA or CPA candidate
