ICU Registered Nurse (RN)The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing patient care tailored to the specific age group of the patients served. This role ensures that high-quality care is delivered efficiently and safely, adhering to the standards of care specific to the unit. The nurse will demonstrate performance aligned with the mission and goals of the organization while maintaining flexibility in adapting to changing systems. The ideal candidate will showcase quality and effectiveness in both work habits and clinical practice and treat all staff, physicians, patients, and families with respect and consideration.Education and QualificationsMinimum of two years of documented ICU experience or completion of an approved ICU training course that includes didactic and clinical experiences.Basic computer skills are required.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.Licenses and CertificationsCurrent Registered Nurse license in the State of California.Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification per American Heart Association guidelines is required.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification is required, to be obtained within six months of hire.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification is preferred.Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification is encouraged.Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands of this position include a potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
