Lecturer BUS 300 - Business Professional Development (Fall 2026) - Temecula Site Apply now Job no: 559722 Work type: Instructional Faculty - Temporary/Lecturer Location: San Marcos Categories: Unit 3 - CFA - California Faculty Association, Temporary, Part Time, Faculty - Business/Management Academic Year: Fall 2026 Day/Time: Wednesdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. Modality: In-person College: College of Business Administration Department: Professional Business Development The College of Business Administration at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach Business 300 at our Temecula Mount San Jacinto College site: Business Professional Development, one of our Signature Programs. This required 2‑unit course enhances students’ professional skills by teaching interactive lessons pertaining to career exploration, soft skill development (i.e., employability skills), and job search strategies. This position requires facilitation skills that aim to increase our students’ career confidence. The candidate should be professionally engaged for at least the past 8 years and have knowledge of industry trends for career development practices. Please note that successful applicants will be responsible for their own parking accounts for this location. This course is unlike other career development courses in that we incorporate executive coaching into the classroom requirements. Executive in Residences (EIR) Coaches work alongside instructors to ensure that students meet the required coaching requirements and self‑reflective assignments. Recognizing that EIR Coaches are volunteers, candidates should be able to foster a team environment with assigned coaches and ensure timely and frequent communication. A master's degree in business or related discipline Active current industry experience in business, management and recruiting, and/or career development experience Ability to facilitate large group discussions and/or experience in teaching or conducting workshops Proficiency in using technology including but not limited to video conferencing (e.g., Zoom, Teams), Microsoft Office (PPT), LinkedIn Willingness to adapt and be engaged in continuous learning and development Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU‑related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment Preferred qualifications: A doctorate or equivalent Professionally engaged through professional association affiliations and/or consulting services Previous teaching and coaching experience Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving our campus community as it relates to teaching and, as applicable, service. Salary commensurate with degree level and experience Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full‑time month CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer A - AY: $5,507 - $6,677 per full‑time month This position is subject to employment verification, education verification, reference checks and criminal record checks. An offer of appointment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, including a criminal records check, and may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.
