We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile Accounting and Human Resources Administrator to join our team and help us continue our growth in the industry.

As an Accounting and HR Administrator, you will assist in keeping accurate accounting and HR records, execute payroll, and assist with employee and customer inquiries and concerns across multiple companies. This multifaceted role will require an individual who has a strong bookkeeping and corporate background and a solid understanding of HR regulations, as well as strong software and organizational skills. This person will work efficiently to meet financial deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting/Bookkeeping

• Bill customers and maintain accurate AR records.
• Collect past due payments.
• Make bank deposits.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Interface closely to support our remote CPA and accounts payable team.
• Investigate financial records to answer questions from ownership, accounting, and management in a timely manner.
• Run financial reports.
• Enter data into financial systems or spreadsheets.
• Post journal entries.
• Provide support in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems.

Human Resources

• Maintain accurate HR records.
• Comply with HR regulations across multiple states.
• Perform employee onboarding and offboarding duties.
• Foster a positive company culture by providing employee support, keeping track of special occasions such as employee anniversaries, and addressing employees' personal concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Proven 2 or more years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
• An understanding of HR regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Proficiency in using office software, including Google Workspace, MS 365, payroll, timekeeping, and CRM systems.
• Self-motivated, willing to learn, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a small office environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
