Office Furniture Installer / Driver

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and professional Office Furniture Installer / Driver to join our team. This position is based out of our warehouse in Hayward, California, and involves the delivery, installation, reconfiguration, relocation, and servicing of commercial office furniture systems at customer locations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with major office furniture manufacturers and systems, strong attention to detail, excellent attendance, and the ability to work efficiently in both warehouse and job-site environments. This role requires a reliable, safety-conscious individual who can represent the company professionally while working directly with customers, project managers, warehouse staff, and installation crews.

Key Responsibilities

Install, assemble, move, reconfigure, and service commercial office furniture, including workstations, panel systems, casegoods, conference tables, seating, storage units, and related products.

Read and interpret floor plans, installation drawings, product specifications, work orders, and project instructions.

Safely load, unload, transport, stage, and handle furniture, equipment, and related materials.

Operate company vehicles in a safe, responsible, and professional manner.

Use hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment properly, safely, and efficiently.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at the warehouse, in company vehicles, and on customer job sites.

Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, project managers, warehouse personnel, supervisors, and other installers.

Ensure all work is completed accurately, safely, and according to project requirements and timelines.

Identify and report product issues, job-site concerns, missing parts, damages, or installation challenges in a timely manner.

Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including receiving, staging, inventory handling, project preparation, and general organization.

Follow all company safety policies, job-site rules, and customer requirements.

Qualifications

Prior experience installing commercial office furniture is required.

Detailed working knowledge of major office furniture brands and systems is required.

Must have your own basic tools necessary for furniture installation.

Reliable transportation to and from the Hayward warehouse is required.

A current CDL and clean driving record are required.

Ability to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver heavy furniture and equipment.

Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and perform effectively as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Professional appearance and customer-service-oriented attitude.

Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent on-time performance.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including after-hours work and occasional Saturdays as project needs require.

Schedule

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, after-hours work is common, and occasional Saturday work may be required depending on project needs. Punctuality, reliability, and consistent on-time performance are required.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience level. We offer competitive compensation for qualified candidates with strong installation experience, CDL driving credentials, reliable work history, and detailed knowledge of major office furniture systems.

Location

This position is based out of our Hayward, CA warehouse, with travel to customer job sites throughout the surrounding service area.
