Bring your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a middle school environment, working in a self-contained classroom supporting students with diverse learning needs. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 4, 2027, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working full-time hours, Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. You’ll serve a manageable caseload at the middle school level, focusing on students in a non-severe, self-contained setting, and also support elementary resource students in grades K-5.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for middle and elementary levels
• Previous experience working with self-contained, non-severe special education populations preferred
• Ability to manage a diverse classroom and tailor instruction to individual student needs
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
• Collaborative approach to working with staff, parents, and service providers
• Dedication to fostering growth, inclusion, and academic achievement for all students

Primary Duties:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to students with varying needs within a self-contained classroom
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in alignment with educational goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support resource students in K-5 settings
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes learning and development
• Maintain compliance with special education records and state regulations
