Work Environment

This is an onsite position located in our outpatient office in the heart of Santa Clarita. Our clinic features state-of-the-art rehabilitation facilities and equipment designed to enhance treatment outcomes. You will work alongside a collaborative team, including two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), in an environment that encourages continuous learning and growth. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a predictable schedule that allows you to balance your personal and professional lives effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical statuses to identify specific needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement various techniques to improve patients' mobility, strength, and functionality, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, ensuring direct, quality interaction with each patient, typically seeing one individual per hour.
• Educate patients on the importance of active participation in their recovery and provide strategies for reducing medication reliance through non-surgical treatment options.
• Monitor and document progress, making adjustments to care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
• Foster a motivating environment where patients feel comfortable and empowered to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and incorporate evidence-based treatments into your approach.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment plans that address all aspects of a patient's health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adult patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. Our patient population includes individuals from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique challenges and goals. Your focus will be on providing personalized care that considers the physical, emotional, and social factors influencing their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California, with no previous board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills, equipped to implement effective hands-on techniques.
• Demonstrated proficiency in creating targeted and effective exercise programs based on individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of three years of experience as a Physical Therapist, specifically in an orthopedic outpatient setting, is preferred. Familiarity with current rehabilitation protocols and a proactive approach to addressing patient concerns will be assets in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The offered salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 125,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
