Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in diverse classroom settings as a Paraprofessional. This position offers a chance to work closely with educators and make a real difference in the educational journey of children in grades K-8. The assignment begins August 20th, aligning with the academic calendar for a 37.5-hour week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar supportive role within schools
- Understanding of classroom dynamics and the ability to support students individually and in groups
- Strong communication abilities with both students and staff
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for fostering student growth
- Background in ESP (Educational Support Professional) or Behavioral Intervention preferred, but not required
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and follow educator guidance
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support instructional activities inside and outside the classroom under teacher direction
- Provide behavioral, academic, and social assistance to students on a one-on-one or small group basis
- Assist with classroom management and create a supportive learning environment
- Accompany students as needed throughout the school day and during transitions
- Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) implementation
- Collaborate with educators to adapt learning materials for diverse student needs
