Title: Air Cargo Billing Clerk

Location: Torrance, CA 90501

Pay:  $24.00/HR. - $26.00/HR. D.O.E.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm PST

Position Type: Contract for 1-year, full time, onsite *possible conversion to permanent basis

Position Summary

As an Air Cargo Billing Clerk , you are responsible for the prompt and accurate invoicing of all services rendered in the process of importing and exporting air cargo. You must be able to effectively analyze pending files to proactively identify and resolve any potential issues by coordinating with operations, sales, and customer service departments.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately issue and distribute a high volume of invoices based on customer-specific rates and spot quotations.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure all incoming costs are captured and all billable activities are invoiced correctly.
• Verify that required supporting documentation and approvals are completed before invoicing.
• Audit incoming charges from international offices and third-party vendors to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes to protect company revenue.
• Work closely with internal credit and finance teams to address customer concerns, invoice disputes, short payments, and outstanding balances.
• Review files and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness for month-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate billing records and support revenue-related reporting requirements.
• Report directly to the Revenue Care Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in invoice processing and documentation.
• Ability to analyze information and identify billing discrepancies.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
