This role supports physician-ordered nutritional services, ensuring patient preferences and dietary needs are met with accuracy and compassion.As a Nutrition Services Specialist, you will play a vital role in multiple areas including call center operations, room service, tray line expediting, and food service preparation. Your responsibilities will include taking and processing meal orders, serving meals professionally, coordinating meal assembly, and maintaining food quality and safety standards.Obtain and process meal orders efficiently, ensuring compliance with diet orders.Serve meals and assist patients with meal ordering systems as needed.Coordinate tray line assembly, verify meal accuracy, and ensure timely delivery.Maintain food safety and sanitation standards according to HACCP and local regulations.Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, dietitians, and food service team members.Prepare tube feedings and manage pantry orders for patient units.Handle and store food items to preserve nutritional quality and freshness.Perform additional duties as assigned to support the nutrition services department.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
