Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed
• Work in a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients after PACU recovery
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings and 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week and an average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as part of a team
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps
• Epic charting experience required
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: any color
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

The Post Surgical Care Unit is a busy 40-bed inpatient area that supports patients across a continuum of pre and post-surgical care.
