University of Washington – School of Medicine: Radiology Faculty – Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (Without Tenure) Location Seattle, WA Open Date Apr 24, 2026 Start Date Anticipated start date July 1, 2026 (flexible) Description The Department of Radiology is seeking a faculty member to develop and maintain an independent funded research program focused on imaging of diseases using Magnetic Resonance Imaging methods. The successful candidate will collaborate with investigators from Radiology, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Mechanical Engineering, and Harborview Medical Center, and will support teaching, research, and administrative missions in the Imaging Research Laboratory, Department of Radiology, and UW School of Medicine. Responsibilities Develop and sustain an independent research program with external funding. Conduct imaging research, primarily using MRI, in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Participate in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and graduate students. Engage in department and university service activities. Qualifications PhD (or foreign equivalent) in basic or clinical science, imaging physics and/or engineering, computer science, informatics, or a related field. At least five years of relevant experience post-terminal degree, including a minimum of two years of postdoctoral training. Compensation Base salary range: $8,750 – $13,334 per month ($105,000 – $160,008 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications.
