CONTRACT SPECIALIST
U.S. Marine Corps
Job Title
You will work in a Department of Defense contract writing system.
You will prepare Statements of Work and/or Performance Work Statements for Department of Defense contracts.
You will read and interpret Federal regulations, guidance and policies while working for a Federal agency.
You will prepare for negotiations / discussions / awards by reviewing audit and technical reports, performing cost and/or price analysis (or reviewing price analysts reports), and developing pre-negotiation positions.
You will negotiate terms and conditions (including price) based on the pre-negotiation objective and give-and-take with the offer or to establish a fair and reasonable price.
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
