Litigation Attorney

Attorney PositionA well-established law firm is seeking a first-, second-, or third-year attorney to join its litigation team.This is an in-person opportunity for a newer attorney who is eager to develop courtroom and trial skills. The ideal candidate will be motivated to handle cases from beginning to end, develop sound legal judgment, and grow into a capable, independent litigator.Responsibilities:Draft pleadings, motions, and discoveryConduct legal research and develop legal argumentsPrepare clients and witnesses for depositions and trialPrepare for, take, and defend depositionsAttend court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferencesCommunicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnessesCollaborate with litigation and pre-litigation teamsEvaluate liability, damages, and case strategyPrepare cases for trial and participate in trialsQualifications:Active California Bar admissionApproximately 1-3 years of attorney experience; exceptional newly licensed attorneys may be consideredGenuine interest in becoming a litigator and trial attorneyStrong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detailGood judgment and common senseAbility to manage deadlines and competing prioritiesStrong communication and client-management skillsAccountability, reliability, and follow-throughWillingness to learn, receive feedback, and develop litigation skillsPrior litigation or personal injury experience is preferred but not required.
