Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients affected by substance use disorders, factoring in their personal history, presenting issues, and potential risk factors to create robust treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies that focus on reducing substance use, improving mental health, and facilitating successful recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing, to address the diverse mental health needs of clients struggling with addiction.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment where clients can express their challenges and learn effective coping mechanisms.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other health professionals to coordinate care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, utilizing skills in de-escalation and conflict resolution to manage urgent situations effectively.

• Engage in psychoeducational efforts, enlightening clients and their families about addiction, mental health strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and legal standards using our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Participate in ongoing training and team meetings to refine skills, share insights, and remain up-to-date with the best practices in mental health and addiction treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals in a detoxification setting, many of whom are navigating the complexities of substance use disorders. This population may include individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders, requiring a nuanced understanding of both addiction and psychiatric conditions. Your work will directly contribute to improving their mental health and recovery outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current, unrestricted LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health or addiction treatment setting, with a demonstrated understanding of dual diagnosis.

• Proficient knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and trauma-informed care approaches.

• Ability to conduct thorough mental health assessments and formulate appropriate and effective treatment plans.

• Experience delivering both individual and group therapies, with a strong emphasis on therapeutic diversity and flexibility.

• Exceptional crisis management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health records and telehealth platforms.

• A commitment to ethical practice and a high standard of professional integrity.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a detox center or addiction treatment facility.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive annual salary between USD 80,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
