Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS
General Notes: The Department of History is a large department with 50+ faculty.
Purpose: This student position will provide administrative support to the History main office.
Work-Study Job Information Supervisor: Mark Lawrence and Michael Schmidt GAR 1.104, 128 Inner Campus Dr. B7000 $15/hr
Responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact and greet visitors in the History front office
- Answer phones and emails, make copies, scan materials, distribute mail
- Assist faculty with administrative requests
- Assist History staff members with administrative processes
- Assist departmental special events
- Special assignments as necessary
Required Qualifications
- Be awarded Federal Work-Study on the Work-Study Verification (WSV).
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy standards as set by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
- Must be enrolled in appropriate credit hours as required by the student's academic or non-academic title. Additional rules may apply in cases where stricter enrollment is required for Work-Study funds.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of administrative experience. Excellent communication skills.
Salary Range
$15.00 per hour
