Sushi Sous Chef - Corporate Dining

Join our culinary team as a Sushi Sous Chef at UBS in Weehawken, NJ (1000 Harbor Blvd.), where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional sushi offerings for both our café and catering operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the successful culinary operations, including planning and menu creation, preparation, and cooking, service
• Providing outstanding service to guests and clients
• Manage a culinary team
• Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team
• Assists with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure, inventory, and ordering
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of related experience as a Sushi Chef, including supervisory experience, is required
• Experience in fine dining, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, higher education, or related food service operations
• Knowledge of food and industry trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation
• Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills
• ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred
• Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel
