Inventory Control CoordinatorBrookshire, TXCompensation IncludesStarting Pay Rate of $20-23/hourThe Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for the control and accuracy of all inventory as it relates to all system transactions.ResponsibilitiesReconciles IFS inventory transactions on a daily basisProcesses all PDN's, Product Defect Notifications, daily (inventory issue transactions)Facilitates all cycle counting: Schedules countsReconciles discrepancies and determines the root causesMakes inventory adjustments upon approval by established hierarchyRecords and tracks inventory accuracy for weekly KPI reportingPlays a major role in assisting the facilitation of all physical inventoriesResearches all inventory discrepanciesAssists in the training of new Material Handlers on shipping and receiving procedures as they relate to inventory transactionsPerforms month end close preparations and transactions: Ensures all product is received in the system prior to closeEnsures all inventory and transaction reconciliation is complete and correct prior to month end closeEnsures IFS is scheduled to be turned off for month end close, at 7am, the first day of each monthPrepares semi-annual mock recalls for audits and actual recalls, if necessaryFollow GMP in compliance with all food safety requirementsCross-train and provide backup support for shipping and receiving functions when neededOther miscellaneous duties as assigned by managementRequirementsH.S. diploma or G.E.D.1 yr. in inventory control or accounting or other, relevant supply chain positionComputer literate in an ERP system and Microsoft Office with the ability to use workstations or RF scanners, email, copiers and printersExcellent organizational skills with attention to detailGood communication skills and a sense of urgencyAble to work independently at times and with minimal supervision but can also work easily as part of the team when neededDemonstrates initiative and good problem-solving skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to: Lift and carry at least 40lbs without assistanceMove light to moderately heavy objectsVisually receive and differentiate colorsUnderstand written and printed material and verbal informationActively exchange ideas/thoughts with othersDetect, recognize and judge differences or changes in print and colorWork under conditions such as heat, cold, and have mobility to grasp small objects and do repetitive bending, pulling, pushing, reaching above shoulders, kneeling and twistingStand and or sit for 8 or 12 hoursHandle tools or equipmentWork under tight schedules in high pressure situationsTolerance to: Seasonal temperature variations (heat in summer, cold in winter)Regularly exposed to dirt, dust, noise; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; ink; glue; paper; cold and heatNoise level in the work environment is usually very loudThe above statements reflect the general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and are not to be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent to the position.
