Accounting Associate

Role Description: The Accounting Associate is a full-time, in office role based in Virginia Beach, VA. This role is responsible for assisting the team with day-to-day accounting operations, including posting journal entries, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the preparation of financial statements. The Accounting Associate will support the team in reconciling accounts, help manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure transactions are recorded in the appropriate accounting software. The role also involves supporting month-end and year-end close processes, producing standard reports, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide clear financial information. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Finance and Financial Statements, with the ability to interpret and present financial information clearly. Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and general accounting practices, including account reconciliations and ledger management. Experience using Accounting Software and related tools to record, track, and report financial data accurately. Demonstrated Analytical Skills for reviewing data, identifying variances, and supporting informed decision-making. Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred. Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and time-management abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
