Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Department of Information, Risk, and Operations Management Position will be based at the UT Austin McCombs School of Business. The research focuses on use‑inspired AI to improve decision‑making in health care and other high‑impact domains. Responsibilities Drive, coordinate, and conduct research on AI systems and human‑AI collaboration. Initiate and lead research projects with interdisciplinary faculty and Ph.D. students. Mentor Ph.D. students and contribute to the vitality of the UT Austin AI community. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, etc.) earned within the past three years. Research experience with large language models (LLMs) and human‑AI collaboration. Strong record and interest in use‑inspired AI research. Preferred Qualifications Prior record in LLMs‑based human‑AI collaboration for decision‑making. Demonstrated research independence and collaborative skills. Salary Range $65,000 Working Conditions Grant‑funded; reassignment based on performance and funding continuation. Position is in‑person at UT Austin, Austin, TX. Standard office conditions and repetitive keyboard use.
