Our client, an established and well-known construction firm in WNY, is looking to hire a Senior Construction Estimator to join their growing team.This is a great opportunity to join a very successful organization. Responsibilities:
- Collaboratewith various departments to ensure accurate/competitive estimates aredeveloped and submitted
- Review andanalyze project specifications, drawings, geotechnical data, etc.gathering necessary information to create bids
- Develop andmaintain positive working relationships with subcontractors and vendors toensure labor and supply costs are current
- Participatein pre-project meetings, site visits, etc. prior to bid submission inorder to gather all pertinent information-noting site conditions,logistics, and equipment/material required
- Take aproactive approach to completing special projects in a timely manner andahead of deadlines
- Collaboratewith internal team members to develop successful bid strategies, discussproject planning, and conduct risk management assessments
- Maintainorganized records and templates
- Remain up todate on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance ismaintained at all times
- Work well ina team environment, as well as independently
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
- Position is full-time, direct hire
- 100%in-office/on-site
- $75,000 - $135,000 annuallydepending on experience, bonus potential
- Full health coverage forindividuals, employer-subsidized family plans, PTO (relaxed policy)
- Engineering degree is a plus,but not required
- 5+ years' experience in estimatingexperience in civil construction
- Knowledge of driven piles,caissons, auger cast piles, sheet piling, ground improvements, etc. ispreferred
- Proficient computer skills,specifically Excel & various estimating software
- Strong organizational andtime management skills
- Strong communication andpresentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able towork well independently while contributing collaboratively within a teamenvironment
- Ability to travel within NYA for siteassessments
- Relocation notavailable
