Payroll Specialist

Overview CareRing Health is the healthcare‑at‑home leader, dedicated to bringing a comprehensive and coordinated ring of care – including home health, home‑based primary care, homecare, and hospice care – to the chronically‑ill, Medicaid/Medicare‑eligible population. We're looking for a Payroll Specialist to work in a team environment working closely with the Payroll Manager. Successful candidates enjoy collaboration, demonstrate high attention to detail and aspire to excellence. Prior payroll experience, working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment is highly requested but not required. Responsibilities Conduct weekly payroll processing and reporting. Handle new hire processes, including importing and manual entry (Input W‑4, Direct Deposit information). Manage time and attendance system, ensuring proper coding of timecards and timely submission for weekly payroll (follow up with leaders as needed). Timecard importing/manual entry/payroll adjustments. Maintain effective communication, promptly responding to employee, management, and branch leader inquiries on payroll related matters. Assist with troubleshooting payroll issues, such as missing payments, retro pay, pay rate changes, etc. Process and input reimbursement‑related payments for expense reports, mileage, etc. Run and conduct weekly audit reports to ensure the highest level of data integrity. Support onboarding & offboarding processes to contribute to the full employee life cycle. Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (degree in HR, or business‑related field preferred but not required). Minimum two (2) years of payroll processing experience. Garnishment processing experience. Possess a passion for data integrity, accuracy, and strong attention to detail. Ability to multi‑task and prioritize to meet critical deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Detail‑driven thinker that takes ownership in end‑to‑end process. Strong organizational skills. Strong analytical, problem‑solving skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience in home health payroll a plus.
