Vaco has partnered with a respected construction organization to hire an Accounting Manager in North Phoenix, Arizona!
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to take on a leadership role within a stable and growing company. You'll work closely with executive leadership, oversee critical accounting operations, and help guide financial strategy in a highly visible position with room for advancement.

Accounting Manager
$120,000–$135,000 base salary (depending on experience)
North Phoenix, AZ (5 days on-site)

Responsibilities include:

• Lead day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
• Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
• Manage monthly and annual close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entry review
• Monitor adherence to accounting regulations, tax requirements, and company policies
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and oversight to accounting team members
• Partner with operational and leadership teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
• Evaluate existing workflows and implement improvements to strengthen controls and increase efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities (Required)
• Experience with construction accounting, including areas such as revenue recognition, job costing, WIP reporting, or sales tax (Required)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage a high-performing team
