Inside Sales Representative (IC)

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. POSITION SUMMARY:

The I&C Inside Sales Representative is a key member of the sales organization. Primarily this position coordinates sales, marketing, and tracking of Industrial Radio Control division product (including wireless control systems and servo actuators). Though the majority of activity will be conducted from the internal sales office, it may also include occasional travel to support senior sales team members at trade shows and existing and prospective customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain high-volume outbound calls and handle incoming leads (from telephone, internet, and lead lists generated from trade shows, other sales team members, and self-generated leads.)
2. Coordinate closely with and support the customer service department for related I&C accounts including monitoring account payment status reports (provided by accounting) and facilitating delivery and appropriate payment related communication with customers when necessary.
3. Coordinate closely with and provide support for senior and outside sales team members. 
4. Service assigned I&C customer accounts via telephone and email and route to appropriate other groups and team members as needed.
5. Assist in marketing efforts and lead follow-up via email campaigns and direct telephone contact.
6. Utilize in-house CRM software to manage lead conversion pipelines and generate regular sales team reports.
7. Assist in trade show planning including booth space registration, securing furnishing and services for the show, and arranging booth crate shipping to and from the show venue.
8. Carry out shipment of samples and other items to and from customers and prospects as directed by senior sales team members.
9. Assist with marketing efforts in hardcopy and digital media as assigned.
10. Continually grow understanding and proficiency with I&C products as necessary to support existing accounts and promote to prospects.
11. Organize, maintain, and track product demo units.
12. Monitor and support distribution accounts.
13. Assist with travel planning and booking for outside sales team members and those accompanying them.
14. All other duties as assigned by management to ensure the success of Futaba.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in marketing, general business, or equivalent from a four-year college or university, and
2. 1-2 years related experience in customer service, sales and/or marketing administration.
3. Ability to learn and use software to monitor and control inventory, order processing, and purchasing.
4. Proficient MS Office skills, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook are required.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Strong written communication skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret information, comprehend instructions, correspondence and communicate clearly to complete the business function. Ability to write professional reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
2. Strong verbal communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to effectively present information and respond to customers and Futaba employees globally.
3. Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. 
4. Intermediate math skills with ability to calculate figures and amounts including discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
5. Reasoning skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to maintain pleasant composure and reasonable control to make decisions to best serve our company and our customers.
