Historic Hotel in Washington, PA (Pittsburgh Area) Position Overview Hotel- historic property in the Pittsburgh area, is seeking a results-driven Director of Sales to lead revenue growth across rooms, catering, and events. This is a hands-on sales leadership role focused on proactive business development rather than order-taking. The successful candidate will drive bookings for weddings, corporate events, social functions, and ancillary F&B while building a sustainable sales pipeline. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue goals (target: $50,000+ per week / approximately $2.5M annually across rooms and catering) Actively prospect and close new business, with primary focus on weddings, corporate events, holiday parties, and group business Maximize utilization of the hotel’s seven event spaces by booking multiple events per weekend whenever feasible Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract, deposit, and post-event follow-up Leverage digital tools, social media, and visual marketing (photos and videos of past events) to attract and convert clients Collaborate closely with ownership and operations leadership; report directly to ownership rather than the current General Manager Support growth of the hotel’s café and coffee shop through event and group sales Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and deliver regular reporting on activity and results Ideal Candidate Proven track record in hotel, resort, or venue sales (Director of Sales, Sales Manager, or similar role) Self-motivated “hunter” mentality — comfortable with outbound prospecting and not reliant on inbound leads Strong experience selling weddings and corporate events Tech-savvy with modern sales and marketing tools (CRM, social media, digital advertising, and visual content) Able to navigate a transitional environment and work effectively amid organizational changes Professional, organized, and results-oriented with excellent communication skills $62,000 – $72,000 Commission Structure (Uncapped) 3% commission on all catering and event revenue (calculated on net revenue after discounts or comps; paid after the event is paid in full) 2% commission on rooms revenue generated by the Director of Sales (calculated on net revenue after discounts or comps) Booking Bonus–w/ monthly goals Optional Quarterly Bonus Employer-paid life insurance and long-term disability Robust health insurance plan 401(k) with 3–4% company match This is a high-impact opportunity with significant upside for a motivated sales professional who thrives on results and wants to help rebuild and grow a historic property. #J-18808-Ljbffr
