Description What You'll Do

• Evaluate results for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform necessary maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for diagnostic testing as required.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, guide new staff or students, and help ensure adherence to lab quality standards.
• Uphold a clean and safe working environment in compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with ASCP/AMT certification preparations.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Maintain active certification throughout tenure.
