Personal Injury Legal Assistant- Houston Galleria Area

A prestigious plaintiff personal injury law firm located in the Galleria is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their firm. This firm offers an outstanding work culture and paid parking. Candidates must have 3+ years of litigation experience in a personal injury law firm based in Texas. Must be able to handle at least 75-100 cases. Main job duties will be scheduling and calendaring, ordering medical records, reviewing medical records, scheduling treatment, communicating and following up with clients and medical providers, discovery responses, and electronic filing. This position does offer a sign on bonus!

Job description:

• Open and organize new case files, both physical and digital
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other parties regarding case status and documentation
• Request, track, and organize medical records, bills, police reports, and other supporting documents
• Draft and prepare correspondence, demand letters, and legal documents under attorney supervision
• Maintain case calendars, schedule appointments, and track deadlines
• Assist with case settlement preparation and disbursement packages
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate case management system records (e.g., Needles, Filevine, Clio, etc.)
• Provide administrative support such as answering phones, filing, scanning, and mail handling
• Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in a personal injury or litigation law firm (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of personal injury case processes (pre-litigation and/or litigation)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
• Professional demeanor and a client-centered attitude
