County Caseworker 1 (Local Government) - Columbia-Montour-Snyder-Union MH/ID (Multiple Vacancies)

Description of Work This role focuses on offering intensive case management services to consumers and families in home and community settings. You will help families work through potential challenges and connect them with the resources they need. As a County Caseworker 1, you will perform the following duties: Provide case management: deliver intensive support to consumers and families in their home and community settings Support during flexible hours: offer assistance during evenings and weekends when necessary Participate in on-call services: serve in a rotation to provide crisis intervention and support Coordinate resources: collaborate with families and agencies to connect them with community services Promote family stability: help families navigate concerns and strengthen their support systems Work Schedule and Additional Information Full‑time employment Work hours: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch Paid vacation, sick time, four personal days per year, and 15 paid holidays Health, dental and vision insurance; tuition reimbursement for graduate and undergraduate courses; qualification for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) Telework: This position does not offer telework Qualifications Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college‑level coursework (12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences); or A bachelor’s degree with or supplemented by 12 credits in the aforementioned social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training (12 credits in the social sciences and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or a similar paraprofessional case‑management position) Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree or credits Other Requirements PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title You must be able to perform essential job functions Legal Requirements Pass a background investigation, including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI fingerprint clearance This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law The Commonwealth is an equal employment opportunity employer and is committed to a diverse workforce.
