As a Legal Administrative Assistant within the Legal Division at Edward Jones, you contribute to the team’s success through proactive support, strong organization, and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. You will succeed in this role by being self-motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to think quickly, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities with confidence. You look beyond individual tasks to understand the broader goal and identify the most effective path to achieving results.
What You’ll Do
Manage complex calendars, prioritize competing requests, and ensure alignment with leadership priorities
Coordinate meetings, committee deliverables, and administrative support for firm and divisional obligations
Prepare, edit, and distribute legal documents, correspondence, reports, and presentations
Monitor and follow up on deadlines, commitments, and key deliverables across multiple stakeholders
Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Support projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
What You'll Need:
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in the legal field
Minimum 3 years' experience in legal or the financial services industry
Experience preparing and managing legal documents, with understanding of their purpose and structure
Experience supporting multiple stakeholders, including attorneys or senior leaders, in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic file management systems
Experience supporting litigation in a law firm or corporate legal department
Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and legal technology tools
