We are seeking a mid‑level associate to join our nationally recognized Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. Candidates should have 4‑6 years of complex litigation experience, strong academic credentials, and experience in high‑level insurance coverage litigation, dispute analysis, and coverage assessments. Our associates work collaboratively with partners and clients, and are key members of our team. Responsibilities Working on all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through trial and appeal Conducting legal research and writing memoranda Drafting complex case analyses and preparing briefs, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents Conducting, propounding, and responding to discovery (documents, written discovery, depositions) Working with clients, witnesses, experts and other counsel Analyzing insurance coverage and extra‑contractual disputes, including drafting coverage opinions and related analyses This is an excellent opportunity to work with dedicated lawyers who are passionate about their work, all while enjoying the benefits of an international law firm. Position Requirements Personal skills/attributes : Exceptional writing, analytical, and communication skills Dedicated and goal‑oriented, with a strong work ethic Superior organizational and time‑management skills Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, adversaries, and courts Strong commitment to client service and responsiveness Excellent interpersonal, networking, and business development skills Collaborative mindset and appreciation for teamwork Technical skills : 4‑6 years of complex and sophisticated litigation experience is required Strong writing and case management skills, level‑appropriate direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills are required Deposition and court experience is preferred Previous law firm experience is strongly preferred Experience with insurance coverage litigation is preferred; candidates with complex litigation backgrounds and a genuine interest in high‑level coverage work are encouraged to apply Other requirements : Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey and be in good standing Pursuant to New Jersey law, the salary range for this position will be $275,000 to $300,000 based on experience and location. Based on years of experience, Dentons associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate.
