Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' mood disorders to assess the severity and frequency of symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to address various mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and treatment options, helping them understand self-care techniques and coping strategies.
\n
• Monitor and track client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and treatment methodologies in the field of mental health to enhance clinical practice.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights, challenges, and successes in therapy.

• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and ensuring their voices are heard.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with primarily include individuals suffering from mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also engage with vulnerable populations including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, providing essential support to help them navigate their mental health challenges and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is preferred.
