Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients experiencing mood disorders, assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and needs, ensuring a client-centered approach.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies, fostering empowerment and understanding.

• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses both mental and physical health needs.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorders to enhance treatment effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Advocate for clients by addressing the stigma surrounding mental health and ensuring their needs are met within the healthcare system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression and anxiety, often compounded by other mental health issues. Your work will focus on creating a safe and trusting environment, fostering healing relationships, and empowering clients to actively participate in their treatment. By adopting a holistic approach, you will address not only the symptoms but also the underlying barriers to wellness.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
