Controller

DisruptiX Talent Solutions is partnering with an established, growing professional services organization in Irvine to identify an experienced Controller for a temp-to-permanent opportunity. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization’s day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, cash flow management and accounting team. The Controller will work closely with executive leadership and employees across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to balance detailed accounting responsibilities with broader financial and operational support. Key Responsibilities Oversee the organization’s general ledger and day-to-day accounting operations Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, insurance, and account reconciliations Lead accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and management reports Monitor cash activity and provide financial insights to support leadership decision-making Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures Coordinate audit requests and maintain documentation supporting audit readiness and compliance Oversee specialized account compliance and ensure adherence to applicable policies and regulations Identify and implement accounting process improvements and operational efficiencies Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while delegating responsibilities effectively Partner with executive leadership on financial planning, budgeting, and business initiatives Communicate financial information clearly to executives, managers, staff, and external partners Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting Previous experience in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar accounting leadership role Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis Hands-on experience overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, and reconciliations Professional services or similar service-based organization experience is preferred Experience developing and monitoring internal controls and compliance procedures Demonstrated experience supervising and developing accounting staff Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting and financial reporting systems Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment #J-18808-Ljbffr DisruptiX Talent Solutions
