Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date 10/19/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $2,426-$2,520; guaranteed hours 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour shifts. Setting: hospital emergency department.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including initial assessment, triage, ongoing monitoring, and interventions for a range of acuity levels.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per orders and ED protocols; manage critical drips and medications as required (vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, sedatives, anticoagulants, etc.).
- Perform rapid patient reassessment, coordinate with physicians and the care team for disposition decisions, and support transfers as needed.
- Monitor for and respond to life-threatening events; participate in rapid response and code procedures; ensure patient safety and timely escalation.
- Document care, orders, and events in the EMR (EPIC); communicate effectively with the care team during handoffs and bed management.
- Support floating to related units as needed to maintain ED operations and patient flow.
- Provide patient and family education consistent with ED procedures and discharge planning.

Requirements
- Active New York Registered Nurse license; Nursys verification.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
- Emergency Department nursing experience: 2+ years; travel experience required.
- EMR experience with EPIC.
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (travel assignment); locals within 75 miles are eligible for the local rate.
- RTO (Requests for Time Off) must be included at submission.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity ED environment and float to related units as needed.
