Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Ortho) - 13 Week Contract

Schedule

This position involves a rotating schedule of three-day shifts with an additional off shift. Shifts may be from 0845-1915, 1045-2115, or 1245-2315. Call duties include one weekday call per week and one 24-hour call every four-week schedule block. Flexibility is required to meet unit and patient care needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room, specializing in orthopedic procedures. The ideal candidate must be proficient in both circulating and scrubbing, with the capability to manage cases across various specialties, excluding CVOR.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room during orthopedic surgeries.
• Ensure patient safety and quality care during surgical procedures.
• Assist in both circulating and scrubbing roles for a variety of specialties.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the Operating Room.
• Collaborate with physicians and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.
• Prior travel experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in a large (500+ beds) trauma level 1 facility.
• Current EPIC experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
• Strong ability to scrub all general surgeries, GU, GYN, ENT, eyes, plastics, lap cases, trauma, thoracic, and vascular cases.
• BLS certification is required.
